Photographing weddings in New York City always feels like a ‘choose your own adventure’ due to the diverse array of venues, cultures, personalities, and weather conditions. With Rebecca and Salmaan’s fall wedding at New York Botanical Gardens, things couldn’t have been any more perfect. A New York Botanical Garden wedding not only offers a majestic setting but also the convenience of being in the heart of New York City, making it really accessible for guests and ideal for those who are located in or near NYC.

As soon as we saw her first wedding dress and his all-white sherwani, we knew this wedding was going to be absolutely stunning. The incredible backdrops of the botanical gardens, combined with their natural ability to comfortably cuddle up in front of the camera, allowed us to capture some of our favorite first look moments and formal portraits.

Their Sofreh-ye Aghd, set up perfectly, really set the stage in the gardens’ indoor space for a fun exchange of vows, complemented by beautiful traditions that involved the participation of many of their loved ones.

Once the cocktail hour started, the whole night became a blur of laughs, dancing, and a mid-reception outfit change for Rebecca into her colorful lehenga. You could really feel the loving energy all of their friends and family had for them in their speeches, their amazing dance moves, their laughter, and the abundant hugs and kisses throughout the evening.

This wedding, with its vibrant energy, is exactly what we need to recharge our creative batteries. We are truly grateful to everyone for allowing us to do what we love on their wedding days: photographing fun, loving celebrations.
